Meet Sole Envy: A New Chapter Years in the Making

Sole Envy may be officially launching now, but this story didn’t start today.

For years, many of you knew us through Polished Lady — first as a business, then as a boutique, and through countless shows, orders, conversations, late nights, new arrivals, and customers who became familiar faces along the way.

Retail has been part of our world for a long time.

And after stepping away for a while, I knew that if I ever came back, I wanted to do it differently.

I didn’t want to rebuild the same business with a different name. I wanted to take the part I loved most, narrow the focus, and create something that felt completely intentional.

That became Sole Envy.

Why Shoes?

Because shoes have always been the fun part.

They can change an entire outfit without changing anything else. They can be practical, ridiculous, classic, bold, comfortable, sexy, unexpected — and sometimes all of those things at once.

And over the years, I learned something else: great boutique footwear doesn’t have to come with a ridiculous boutique price tag.

That idea became the foundation of Sole Envy:

Boutique footwear. Irresistible prices.

We’re curating styles we genuinely love — boots, heels, flats, mules, sandals and more — with the goal of giving you something that feels special without making you regret checking your bank account afterward.

A New Name. A Different Focus.

Sole Envy isn’t simply Polished Lady renamed.

It’s the next chapter.

This time, footwear gets the entire spotlight.

The store has been built around a constantly changing collection of styles instead of trying to be everything to everyone. Some will be easy everyday favorites. Some will be statement shoes. Some will disappear quickly and may never come back.

That’s part of the fun.

And because we’ve spent years selling face-to-face as well as online, we know shopping for shoes is about more than a product photo. We want you to see how they look on, understand the details, find your size easily, and actually enjoy shopping the site.

More Than an Online Store

Online is only part of where Sole Envy is headed.

We’ll still be doing what we’ve loved doing for years: getting out from behind the screen and meeting customers in person.

This fall, Sole Envy will be headed to shows — including the Covered Bridge Festival and the Indianapolis Gift & Hobby Show — with a whole lot of shoes in tow.

We’re also building The Sole Society, our rewards community, and beginning a Sole Envy Ambassador Program for women who love great shoes, personal style, and sharing the things they genuinely enjoy.

And this is only the beginning.

There are more styles coming, more ideas taking shape, and plenty we’ll learn as Sole Envy grows.
